A retaining wall holds back soil, and the reason walls fail is almost never the block — it's water pressure behind it. We build on a compacted footing with gravel backfill and a drain line, so the wall stays plumb instead of slowly leaning out over a few wet seasons.
Our Process
1
Assess the Grade
We work out how much soil the wall carries and what height it needs to be.
2
Footing
Trenched below grade and compacted, with the first course set dead level.
3
Build & Backfill
Courses laid with batter, gravel backfill and a drain line behind as we go.
4
Cap & Restore
Capped, then the disturbed ground graded and planted or sodded back.
